The residents of Mason Neck and in particular Hallowing Point have been shocked by the shooting and loss of Johann DeLeede, a long time neighbor, friend, and active participant in our community. It has left many of us anxious and concerned about the progress in solving this crime.
At the request of our members, there will be a briefing by Captain Powell of the Fairfax County Police Department, at the MNCA meeting on Tuesday, March 15, at Gunston Hall. This issue will be the first item on the agenda starting at 7:30pm.
Currently, there is a team of detectives and forensic experts with excellent resources methodically gathering evidence in an ongoing effort to solve the case. It is very much an active investigation, so they cannot answer many questions that are specific to the case.
