Fairfax County History Conference, Saturday, Nov. 10

Attached is the flyer and registration form for the Fairfax County History Conference, to be held
Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center in Fairfax.

This year's theme is "Years that Shook Our Nation and Fairfax County; 1868,1918, and 1968"
The speakers address the impacts of Reconstruction, the First World War, and the tumultuous social
change of the 1960s.

It's a great event, usually attended by over 100 people.
The food is great, the networking is great, there are authors selling books, and other
organizations displaying. The speakers are excellent.

The Conference is sponsored by the History Commission, the Park Authority,
Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center, the Board of Architectural Review, and the
Friends of Fairfax Courthouse. Registration, including continental breakfast and lunch,
is $25. The registration deadline is Friday, Nov. 2. The registration form can also be found
on the Fairfax County History Commission website.
