Good afternoon Mason Neck residents:
We held our fourth progress meeting for the Mason Neck Trail-Segment 2B project on 4/27/17.
A summary of the projects status from April 2017 meeting is provided below.
- Project progress is approx. 40 % complete.
- Storm sewer installations 100% complete.
- WC Spratt & Fairfax Water have started water line relocations / adjustments and should be completed this second week of May 2017.
- WC Spratt will continue performing cut / fill operations through May 2017 and fine grade the trails subgrade soils for subbase stone placement.
The contractor intends to start paving procedures for the trail towards the end of May and through June 2017 as fine grading subgrade soils and subbase stone placement progresses.
- WC Spratt will continue installing construction entrances and maintaining silt fences & other erosion controls.
- Completion date in August 2017 still on target.
