In November 2016, Fairfax County voters approved the Human Services and Community Development Bond Referendum which provided funding for the construction of the Lorton Community Center. The facility will serve as new location for LCAC and the Lorton Senior Center as well as providing a broader array of services, programs and activities for individuals of all ages and abilities throughout these communities. The future Lorton Community Center will be located adjacent to the Lorton Community Library on Richmond Highway in Lorton. The project is currently entering the initial design stage and is targeted for completion by early 2022. Fairfax County Community Centers are multi-service facilities that serve the needs of individuals of all ages and abilities throughout Fairfax County. To that end, the county is seeking public input to ensure that this new facility is designed to meet the needs and interests of the communities they serve. We ask that you please take 10 minutes of your time to complete a 12 question survey regarding the facility. |

It's time again for Complete the Circle, the awesome foodraiser for LCAC! Join LCAC on Sunday, October 29th from 1-2:30pm at Fairfax High School. Register yourself, your family, a team from the office, or your faith community for $10 per person, bring a bag of food AND help local families. We are getting ready for our Thanksgiving Distribution!
Each year LCAC serves 400+ senior, military and low-income families through this heart-warming outreach. You can help out by donating a food gift card (in $20 increments) to purchase meat for a family, create a Thanksgiving food box to provide a meal for someone in our community or volunteer your time on Sunday, November 19th! You can help keep seniors, children and families WARM this winter!
LCAC's Warm Coat Outreach will take place on Sunday, December 3rd. LCAC needs thousands of coats for our families to "shop" and find the perfect one to keep them warm this winter. You can help by collecting coats at your workplace, neighborhood or faith community and donate to LCAC. More information can be found HERE. We also need lots of volunteers. Volunteer opportunities will be posted soon!

Each year LCAC serves 450+ senior, military and low-income families through our holiday program. You help out by donating a food gift card (in $20 increments) to purchase meat for a family, create a Holiday food box (we will need 500 of them!) to provide a meal for someone in our community; adopt a child from our Signup Genius list (coming soon), or volunteer your time! Don't forget to complete your donation form too!
