Dear Neighbors and Friends of Meadowood,
Question: What parts of Meadowood do you love? The open vistas, the world class bike trails, taking long walks through the serene woods, bird watching, or the beauty of horses grazing peacefully in the field? We hope your answer is "All of it"! As a group of people dedicated to preserving what we love about Meadowood we are writing to invite you to join our Friends of Meadowood group and help us support the ongoing recreation and beauty of Meadowood.
The Friends of Meadowood is an organization that works in conjunction with the Bureau of Land Management staff in support of Meadowood. The Friends group had become rather quiet the last few years but there is a new effort put forward to revitalize the group and our efforts. Our next steps are to have new members join and vote in a new Board. In order to be a voting member or be considered for the Board one must pay a $20 annual membership fee. We do have other membership levels available if you would like to help out but not vote. If you are interested in participating on any level please print out the attached Friends of Meadowood membership form, complete it, include payment and send to: Joe Chudzik at 10916 Harley Road Lorton, VA 22079 Checks should be payable to Friends of Meadowood.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19
at 7:00. We currently meet in the BLM offices located at10705 Belmont Blvd. At that meeting we will outline our next steps which include forming and voting on a board in the near future.
