What is the Mason Neck Citizens Association (MNCA)?
- We are a group of your neighbors who are passionate about preserving the unique environment and lifestyle here on the 10,000 acres of Mason Neck. Did you know that nearly 6,000 acres are public lands?
- We have volunteered countless hours for more than 30 years to ensure that all 2,000+ Mason Neck residents continue to enjoy living here.
- We are non-partisan and work with our legislators towards that goal.
- We hold three meetings a year, providing residents with interesting, informative programs and an opportunity to meet their neighbors and legislators.
What have we done? Here are just a few examples:
| Demonstrated to VDOT how the intersection at Route 1 and Gunston Road could be engineered to improve traffic flow onto Mason Neck. Demonstrated the need for repaving Gunston Road. | |
| Preserved 800+ acres at Meadowood for recreation rather than planned housing. Prevented the closing of Mason Neck State Park Supported the development of Pirates Cove Waterpark in Pohick Bay Park rather than having the pool close. |

| Enabled residents to network through our Listserv notifications and social media to get alerts on power outages, traffic issues and weather. Provided an intimate forum for residents to meet with local, state, and federal lawmakers each year. |
