Mason Neck Trail-Segment 2B (Project Status)




Good afternoon everyone,
 
We held our fourth progress meeting for the Mason Neck Trail-Segment 2B  project on 5/31/17. I apologize for the delay in sending out an update.
A summary of the projects status from May 2017 meeting is provided below.
 
  • Project progress was approx. 50 % complete.
  • Storm sewer installations 100% complete.
  • WC Spratt & Fairfax Water have started water line relocations / adjustments have been completed with only a couple vertical adjustments needed to fire hydrants and some valves at this time.
  • WC Spratt will continue to perform cut / fill operations through June 2017 and fine grade the trails subgrade soils for subbase stone placement.
The contractor will start paving procedures for the trail through June 2017 as fine grading subgrade soils and subbase stone placement progresses.
  • WC Spratt will continue installing construction entrances and maintaining silt fences & other erosion controls.
  • Completion date in August 2017 still on target.
·         June and July will be very busy and productive months for construction activities. The next Progress meeting is scheduled on 6/29/17.
